Easy installation
Low cost and easy to (re)install, Treebit can be installed across an entire precinct by city maintenance crews.
Treebit works on a one-to-many ratio, meaning you only need as many Treebit devices as you have differing soil conditions in a target area.
In cases where these differences aren’t well understood, Treebit sensors can be initially deployed to identify where differences in moisture conditions are occurring. Once these baselines are established, redundant Treebit sensors can be removed and redeployed in other city locations.
IoT Connectivity
Treebit operates off LoRaWAN® technology through Telcos which is open to anyone, with no license fees or other fees associated with its usage.
The sensors take an hourly soil moisture reading and send the measurements via the LoRaWan connection to your Treebit dashboard.
Minimum moisture levels can be set to trigger maintenance alerts and crews can access the location of the trees via any smart phone device.
API Integration
The Treebit dashboard has an advanced API available that allows soil moisture data to be integrated for irrigation management or predictive analytics. This makes it possible to combine data from the individual Treebit soil moisture sensors.
Anti Theft + Vandalism
An earthy tone has been chosen to camouflage Treebit with the soil and mulch at the base of trees. We recommend inserting the probes into the soil until the top of the Treebit cap is at ground level, obscuring it from general view. Treebit will be unaffected by natural debris coverage and rain.
Suitable to Most Settings
To accommodate root depth variance, Treebit is available in 30cm and 60cm lengths to measure soil moisture at root depth.
