Our History

From the very beginning, Citygreen has been concerned about tree health. The most common challenge is rooted in the fact that trees find it difficult to survive in today’s populated and infrastructure dense cities. This results in stunted growth, so trees never reach their full potential or surrounding infrastructure becoming damaged by invasive root systems.

Determined to make a difference, we founded Citygreen to find engineering solutions to better trees’ chance of not just surviving but thriving in urban environments. We invested in comprehensive research and development to explore the challenges in growing city trees, the reasons for their premature mortality and the negative impact of poor planting in urban environments.

We’ve since evolved to minimise waste, maximise efficient use of scarce and polluted water resources and extend our green spaces from trees to vertical gardens. Relentlessly working towards our vision.
