Ross Clark
Ross has dedicated his career to the continuous production and enhancement of landscape trees. Today, he stands as a prominent consultant, advisor, and spokesperson within the industry, advocating for improved tree quality and specifications. Ross actively conducts clinics, delivers insightful seminars for industry groups, and imparts his knowledge as a lecturer at educational institutions.
His notable achievement includes the development of the "NATSPEC" specification for trees, initially published by Construction Information Systems P/L in 1996 and later revised in 2003. This specification quickly gained recognition as the industry's most stringent standard, eventually evolving into the official Australian Standard, AS 2303:2018.
In recent years, Ross has expanded his focus beyond tree quality, adopting a holistic approach to ensure the success of our new urban trees. He has coined this comprehensive concept "The Urban Tree Puzzle." Currently, Ross is actively engaged in hosting a series of Urban Tree Puzzle talks and workshops, targeting councils, landscape architects, and landscape contractors. Through these engaging sessions, he aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the intricacies of urban tree management.
